HOVILPRI® (pritelivir) is a helicase-primase inhibitor indicated in immunocompromised adults for the treatment of mucocutaneous lesions caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection that is refractory (with or without documented resistance) to treatment with acyclovir, valacyclovir, or famciclovir1

How does HOVILPRI work differently from standard therapy?

Targets the HSV helicase-primase complex, an enzyme essential for HSV DNA replication1,4

Does not rely on viral thymidine kinase activation and maintains antiviral activity independent of this pathway1

Demonstrated in vitro activity against HSV-1 and HSV-2 isolates, including strains resistant to nucleoside and nucleotide analogues and foscarnet1,3,5
